Elders of Kuulo Katoo and community members from Dompofie gathered beneath the sacred tree shrine known as Lelɛɛ Wurache to recount the history of the Kuulo people. The film opens with libations by Kwasi Millah and documents the recounting of Kuulo history, first in Nafaanra by Dompofie chief Nana Shiembor Agba II (Mr. Emmanuel Dwira). After encouragment by Esther Dogbe, a visiting linguisitcs doctoral student working with the community on language revitalization, Daniel Kofi Nakpah, one of the younger speakers of Dompo--the endangered language of Kuulo people--recounts the history in Dompo. The film includes community conversations about the importance of learning about the history of Kuulo Katoo, debates over the language in which the history should be told and a sharing of perspectives sparked by the telling of the history.
